All Aboard for “JCAY 2018”

A “Zone of Cultural Operations” will be established at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre as we will be hosting our 2week long summer arts programme, “JCAY” – Jamaican Culture and Art Youth Workshop. The workshop runs from July 17-27, 2018, 10am – 3pm and is open to children ages 7-13 years.

The workshop features a programme filled with interactive sessions where the participants will actively engage in creative and critical thinking activities designed to encourage an appreciation for artistic and cultural expression. They will also go on a field trip and stage their own showcase to conclude their time at JCAY.

The workshop costs $3,500 and covers meals, art supplies and other creative material as well as the costs for a field trip for the youngsters. The participants will embark upon an epic experience where they get to visit some of the most intriguing sites in Western Jamaica. Registration forms are available at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre at Sam Sharpe Square and will be open until the 29th of June 2018.

The Montego Bay Cultural Centre is dedicated to preserving, protecting supporting and showcasing Jamaica’s cultural and artistic heritage for the benefit of the public at large.
