2nd Annual Open Call for Submissions – DUE WEST 2020

National Gallery West is pleased to announce its Call for Artist Submissions for the second edition of the Due West exhibition. This exhibition is part of our continuing initiative which aims to discover, promote and showcase the work of emerging and established artists from Western Jamaica.
The Call for Due West is open to both amateur and professional artists working in one or more of the following media:

Painting
Drawing (including Pastel & Watercolours)
Original
Print Collage
Photography
Sculpture (including Assemblage)
Installation
Ceramic
Fibre Art
Audio Visual
Performance
ELIGIBILITY:

Entries will be accepted only under the following conditions:

The exhibition is open to all artists resident in or originating from Western Jamaica.
Artists must be 18 years of age or older

Artists may submit up to two (2) works in total
All works must have been completed within the past three (3) years
Size restrictions for paintings and other two (2) dimensional works:
Maximum height: 100 inches
Maximum width: 90 inches
Submissions open: September 10, 2019
Deadline for submissions: October 31, 2019

Notification of selection: November 13, 2019

Final submissions should be appropriately framed or mounted.

Works will be accepted Tuesdays to Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning November 14 , 2019
EXHIBITION

Opening date: January 19, 2020
AWARD:
– People’s Choice Award – A Cash prize of $50,000.00.
This prize will be given to the artwork featured in the Due West exhibition that receives the most votes from
visitors to the exhibition.
