SHOP LOCAL…SHOP CULTURAL

The vision 2030 goal for Jamaica entails creating the country as a place to live, work, raise families and do business. Jamaica’s history is rich and has been preserved and reinvented into numerous cultural artifacts and souvenirs. These souvenir items carry the history and spirit of our ancestors, and also promote the local, cultural and entrepreneurial spirit of our people. It’s important to shop locally as these funds are plunged back into the economy and used to create a stronger Jamaica. When you shop locally, you are supporting a local family and,  by extension, you create jobs, improve public infrastructure and invest in your community both socially and economically. This investment then creates a ripple effect and, to a much larger extent, boosts the nation’s economy.

At The Montego Bay Cultural Centre our Gift Shop is equipped with cultural souvenir gems that encapsulate the spirit and pride of Jamaican culture.

The items are all locally made and supporting the centre means supporting a local artist, carver or creator. The Centre’s Gift Shop is also filled with unique items useful for one’s home and office and also ideal as gift items for any special event or holiday season.

Our Gift Shop has numerous categories of items which span from plaques to candles, maps and even clothing items. Our extensive catalogue can be viewed via our website at www.montegobayculturalcentre.org or you can come in  store at The Montego Bay Cultural Centre at Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay, St. James.

Our Gift Shop promotes the mantra  ‘Shop Locally…Shop Culturally’ and supporting us means supporting our community and our country.
